John McGlade began constructing water features in the early 90’s while working for McGlade and Son Landscaping a design, build and maintenance company.
After years of being selected as a landscape design firm for the Vassar Show House and Gardens, McGlade decided to branch out with a new venture because of the overwhelming response the water feature designs had generated. A second company called Bullfrog Ponds dedicated solely to water gardens, koi ponds and fountains was started in 1998.
Bullfrog Ponds is a family run business. Our success is built on passion, quality craftsmanship, a knowledgeable staff and a company commitment to meeting our clients lifestyles and expectations.
We specialize in the design, construction, troubleshooting and maintenance of all types of water features.
Our design projects have been featured in numerous publications, including Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine’s Home and Garden, Main Line Today Magazine, Greater Philadelphia House and Home Magazine, County Lines Magazine and Delaware Valley Living Magazine.
